This is because they are on the front line and have a higher chance of obtaining an injury. This is going to affect the personnel’s families as they may have to do deal with the tragedy. Another positive that comes from war, conflict and terrorism, is the media coverage. Media means that there is a lot more publicity and so the services will get more support and money, allowing them to get more equipment and training. On the other hand, if an incident is dealt with poorly, then the media will report this, meaning the public will see, this is not good. This may change the public’s perception on the Armed Forces may change because if the public see a bad story that goes against them then the public will not have as much trust in the Armed Forces. Terrorism can create tension between countries. With this, wars can be started, and this affects the UK Armed Forces. This is because the army will then have to defend and fight the enemy who started the terrorism.
